Animation Mentor is ramping up and getting exciting. We're starting to get a hang of the site and getting our first assignment under our belt. I totally forgot its October, I have to do some monster/horror drawings for the next post. If anyone has any good sketch ideas for me, go ahead and post it up. The scarier/bloodier/nastier the better ;p

Doing weekly sketch challenges sounds awesome. That will definitely keep my pencil/pen movin more regularly...

i like that sketchblog challenge idea. you guys should do it. it's something that can be done quickly and doesn't have the pressure of having to finish a piece like at the artblog challenge. but i got some suggestions. why not raise the stakes and make it a daily challenge and make a requirement for all that join to participate at least 3 times a week. also, the topic should be more specific. like "ben franklin searching for gold in a uterus" or observational stuff like "draw the first person you see today and what they are doing". putting a lil more challenge into the challenge should help cut down on the riff and raff. it also might be a good idea to require everyone to post a suggestion for a future drawing challenge along with their sketch submission so the moderator won't have so much pressure to come up with something new everyday. here's my suggestion for the first challenge (inspired by Garrett), "draw your boss, signifigant other, next door neighbor, or uncle that molested you as a flesh eating zombie at disneyland."
